The 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD are now (finally) available at our Marshall truck dealership, and they’re looking sharp! Per usual, GMC is holding a place of prominence in the heavy-duty truck industry, and these newest models fit right in with GMC’s great reputation of quality, reliability, and class. But you knew that already, so let’s just take a look at these big boys!
The 2019 GMC Sierra HD at a Glance
Get ready to take your family and friends along for the ride in the GMC Sierra HD. Cab options on the Sierra HD are limited to double and crew, but who’s going to complain about having more space? Although neither the 2500HD nor the 3500HD come with a regular-cab design this time around, there’s still lots of room for passengers or storage in its double cab or crew cab format. The Sierra HD seats up to 6 passengers, but the back seats can fold down for expanded interior hauling. (Seats come in cloth or vinyl, and are a standard Dark Ash, in case you were wondering.)
It’s a pretty luxurious ride, folks! The air conditioning works great for keeping things cool in the simmering summer, and heated seats take the chill out of a winter work day in Kansas City (you can even regulate the heat for the seat back or bottom separately).
Plus, it’s got solid power and durability, has more than enough ability to go off-road, and can pull a hefty load thanks to its max towing capacity of 23,100 pounds. Plenty of mirrors and lights aid in visibility and are geared toward trailering and hauling, as well.
For the convenience of the driver and passengers, the 2019 Sierra HD features:
- 5″ diagonal monochromatic Driver Information Center
- Rear-view camera
- 7″ diagonal GMC Infotainment System
- 6-speaker audio system
- Optional 4G LTE Wi-Fi® Hotspot with OnStar
2019 Sierra 2500HD Capabilities
The 2500HD comes with a standard Vortec® 6.0L Variable Valve Timing V8 SFI engine, but there is also a Duramax® 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine option, which is where the 2500HD reaches its max trailer weight towing of 15,400 pounds. An available 5th-wheel or gooseneck hitch aids in the towing, as well. (Trailer weight ratings assume proper equipment, the weight of the driver, and one extra passenger.)
Payload max for the 2500HD comes in at 3,276 pounds. This is based on the abilities of a 2WD crew cab with the 6.0L V8 gas engine.
So, how much does it cost to bring this workhorse home? Basic models start at $38,200 and increase with the additions of optional special features. Check our available GMC truck deals in Marshall for discounts on the new 2019 Sierra 2500HD or an older Sierra HD model.
2019 Sierra 3500HD Capabilities
For most, the standard Sierra 3500HD truck, with its Vortec® 6.0L Variable Valve Timing V8 SFI engine, is quite capable. But the 3500HD takes things to a whole new level, towing up to 23,100 pounds with the 6.6L Duramax Diesel 2WD Crew Cab DRW option, equipped with a fifth-wheel or gooseneck hitch.
Payload max of the 3500HD nearly doubles that of the 2500HD, at 6,112 pounds, which is based on the capabilities of a 2WD Crew Cab DRW with the standard gas engine.
The price tag on a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD starts at $40,800, though we suggest asking our Marshall GMC truck dealers for any available offers to keep your costs lower.
